The Sensex Index climbed 323.83 or 1.7% to close at 18,875.95 The CNX Nifty rose 93.65 to close at 5,682.35.

Gainers & Losers

Hanung Toys and Textiles Limited plunged 19.6% to Rs 82.45 after the fourth quarter net swung to a loss Rs 33.06 crore compared to net profit Rs 43.66 crore in the same quarter last year. Net sales jumped 13.8% to Rs 528.42 crore.

For the year, net profit declined 42.6% to Rs 66.04 crore and net sales climbed 27.7% to Rs 1,782.70 crore.

Indraprastha Gas Limited increased 1.6% to Rs 265.60 after the company plans to buy 50% stake in Kanpur based Central UP Gas.

Kalpataru Power Transmission Limited gained 3% to Rs 67.80 after the company secured new orders worth Rs 1,130 crore.

Oil India Limited gained 2.3% to Rs 573 after the company plans to raise between $800 and $900 million in foreign debt to finance its share in $2.5 billion acquisition of Mozambique gas field.

National Fertilizers Limited declined 2.6% to Rs 33.60 after the government is scheduled to take a decision on the proposal for stake sale of 7.64%.

NTPC Limited down 0.5% to Rs 140.45 after the board agreed to invest Rs 346.42 crore for 50 MW solar photo voltaic project in Madhya Pradesh.

Religare Enterprises Limited declined 5.8% to Rs 319.90 after the US based Customers Bancorp Inc agreed acquire 6% stake for invest $51 million and the brokerage company plans to apply for a banking license.

Reliance Power Limited decreased 0.4% to Rs 61.15 after the electricity regulator CERC asked the company to undertake fresh testing of the first 660 MW unit of its 3,960 MW Sasan power project.
