Colgate profit slid but sales jumped. CESE revenue grew 9%. GAIL (India) net and revenues climbed. Havell''s net surged and Nalco net dropped. Tata Chemicals net swung to loss. Tata Global Beverages profit soared 19%.

The Sensex Index gained 130.05 or 0.7% to close at 20,160.82 The CNX Nifty rose 28.10 or 0.5% to close at 6,111.25.

Gainers & Losers

Colgate-Palmolive Company rose 0.3% to Rs 61.17 after net profit in the fourth quarter dropped 5.8% to Rs 123.20 crore and net sales jumped 18% to Rs 811.60 crore.

For the year, net profit climbed 11.3% to Rs 496.70 crore and net sales soared 18% to Rs 3,084.10 crore.

CESC Limited increased 2.3% to Rs 336.40 after net profit in the fourth quarter rose 0.4% to Rs 256 crore and total revenue advanced 8.8% to Rs 1,513 crore.

For the year, net profit climbed 11.6% to Rs 618 crore and total revenue surged 13.6% to Rs 5,317 crore.

GAIL (India) Limited edged up 0.2% to Rs 326.55 after net profit in the fourth quarter surged 27.9% to Rs 618.18 crore and total revenue climbed 18.8% to Rs 12,470.70 crore.

For the year, net profit jump 10.1% to Rs 4,022.20 crore and total revenues advanced 17.5% to Rs 47,522.69 crore.

Havell''s India Limited gained 3% to Rs 719.15 after net profit jumped 19.8% to Rs 109.68 crore and total sales advanced 11.8% to Rs 1,172.99 crore.

For the year, net profit surged 21.6% to Rs 371.39 crore and total sales soared16.9% to Rs 4,234.61 crore.

Jindal Saw Limited dropped 1.9% to Rs 75.15 after net profit declined 27.5% to Rs 37.08 crore and net sales dropped 35.5% to Rs 979.04 crore.

For the year, net profit plunged 13.7% to Rs 193.41 crore and net sales grew 8.1% to Rs 5,612.86 crore.

National Aluminium Company Limited advanced 1.2% to Rs 34.95 after net profit in the quarter slipped 12.8% to Rs 246.03 crore and net sales increased 4.7% to Rs 1,835.17 crore.

For the year, net profit declined 31.4% to Rs 582.83 crore and net sales rose 4.8% to Rs 6,809.45 crore.

Peninsula Land Limited plunged 6.9% to Rs 48.95 after net profit tumbled 56.7% to Rs 35.82 crore and net sales plummeted 61.8% to Rs 105.94 crore.

For the year, net profit climbed 25.5% to Rs 196.95 crore and net sales jumped 39% to Rs 664 crore.

Ratnamani Metals and Tubes Ltd surged 7.8% to Rs 150 after net profit in the fourth quarter decreased 4% to Rs 39.49 crore and sales rose 0.7% to Rs 345.26 crore.

For the year, net profit soared 22% to Rs 135.95 crore and sales up 1.7% to Rs 1,201.13 crore.

Tata Chemicals Limited down 0.9% to Rs 304 after the fourth quarter consolidated net swung to loss Rs 188.03 crore compared with net profit of Rs 138.51 crore. Net sales fell 1.1% to Rs 3,361.77 crore.

For the year, net profit tumbled 52.2% to Rs 400.40 crore and net sales advanced 7.8% to Rs 14,718.63 crore.

In retailing segment, Tata Salt jumped to 14% and water purifier business climbed 15%.

Tata Global Beverages Limited gained 0.8% to Rs 144.65 after fourth quarter consolidated profit from operations climbed 19% to Rs 193 crore and net sales grew 6% to Rs 1,849 crore.

For the year, consolidated profit from operations soared 26% to Rs 663 crore and net sales jumped 11% to Rs 7,351 crore.

T.V. Today Network Ltd declined 8.9% to Rs 77.30 after net profit dropped 13.2% to Rs 6.36 crore and net sales slipped 4.7% to Rs 84.22 crore.

For the year, net profit jumped 16.1% to Rs 12.21 crore and net sales grew 1.4% to Rs 312.44 crore.
