India Movers: ACC, Finolex, Nerolac, Titan Net Up; Adani Loss Widens

ACC net surged 189% and Adani Power fourth quarter loss widened. Finolex net jumped 41% and Grasim profit rose 1%. Kansai Nerolac net surged 173% and Titan net climbed 28%. The Great Eastern Shipping net surged 70%.

The Sensex Index rose 98 or 0.5% to close at 19,673.64 The CNX Nifty gained 27.05 to close at 5,971.05.

Gainers & Losers

ACC Limited slumped 1.5% to Rs 1,210.55 after consolidated net profit in the fourth quarter surged 189.2% to Rs 438.29 crore.

Adani Power Limited slid 0.6% to Rs 48.35 after the independent power generator said net loss in the fourth quarter widened to Rs 586 crore.

Finolex Industries Limited surged 20% to Rs 119.30 after net profit in the fourth quarter jumped 41.2% to Rs 79.35 crore.

Grasim Industries Limited slipped 0.4% to Rs 2,978.80 after consolidated net profit in the fourth quarter up 1% to Rs 818 crore.

Gujarat Gas Company Limited fell 0.4% to Rs 246.25 after consolidated net profit in the first quarter fell 9% to Rs 59.50 crore.

Jaiprakash Associates Limited rose 0.5% to Rs 75.60 net profit in the fourth quarter tumbled 56.5% to Rs 123.50 crore.

Kansai Nerolac Paints Ltd gained 1.9% to Rs 1,232.95 after net profit in the fourth quarter surged 173.3% to Rs 122.70 crore.

Kriti Industries (India) Ltd. surged 9.8% to Rs 4.91 after net profit in the fourth quarter soared 94.92% to Rs 1.15 crore.

South Indian Bank, Ltd. gained 1% to Rs 24.20 after net profit in the fourth quarter jumped 26.1% to Rs 153.83 crore.

Titan Industries Limited increased 1.2% to Rs 273.70 after net profit in the fourth quarter climbed 28.2% to Rs 184.97 crore.

The Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited consolidated net profit in the fourth quarter surged 69.9% to Rs 537.76 crore.
