India Movers: Bajaj, Ford, IVRCL, L&T, Maruti. Tata Motors, Toyota

    BEL reported fiscal sales increased 5%. Bajaj Auto March sales declined 10%, Ford India sales plunged 38%, Maruti sales rose 3.3% and Tata Motors sales plunged 27.6%. IVRCL win order worth $400 million and L&T secured order of $700 million.

The Sensex Index jumped 176.20 or 0.9% to close at 19,040.95 The CNX Nifty advanced 43.70 to close at 5,748.10.

Gainers & Losers

Bharat Electronics Limited climbed 2.3% to Rs 1,162 after the company reported turnover growth of 5% to Rs 6,010 crore in the fiscal year 2013.

Bajaj Auto Limited slipped 1.5% to Rs 1,756.50 after the company said total vehicle sales in March declined 10% to 301,00,000 units.

Ford India total car sales in India in March declined 38% to 7,499 vehicles. Domestic sales plunged 42% and export declined 29%.

IVRCL limited jumped 2.8% to Rs 22.35 after the infrastructure company signed agreements with TRIL Roads Private Limited, a company of TATA group for Rs 2,200 crore for road project.

Kilburn Engineering Limited surged 12% to Rs 12.96 afte the company received order of Rs 71 lacs from South Korea based Samsung Engineering Co. Ltd.

Larsen & Toubro Limited jumped 2% to Rs 1,422.35 after the company’s construction division secured new orders worth Rs 3,700 crore.

Maruti Suzuki India Limited climbed 2% to Rs 1,308.70 after the company''s total sales for the year rose 3.3% to 11.71 lakh units and climbed 9% in car sales for the month of March.

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited gained 2.8% to Rs 316.70 after the refiner cut the petrol prices by a rupee from Today.

Tata Motors Limited rose 0.5% to Rs 266.80 after the company reported March total vehicle sales plunged 27.6% to 72,712 units and for the year total sales slumped 10.7% to 8,10,086 units.

The company reported domestic sales in March declined 27% and export dropped 34%.

Toyota Motor Corporation said domestic sales in March climbed 6.8% to 19,452 units and exported 1,691 vehicles.

TVS Motor Company Limited rose 0.2% to Rs 31.95 after the company posted total sales in March slumped 8.2% to 167,583 vehicles.
