The Sensex Index slipped 57.27 or 0.3% to close at 18,735.60 The CNX Nifty fell 7.40 to close at 5,651.35.
For the week, the Sensex declined 3.6%.
Gainers & Losers
Cairn India Limited fell 0.07% to Rs 277.55 after the onshore oilfield operator is scheduled to start commercial sale of natural gas block in fertilizer industry of Gujarat.
Housing Development Finance Corporation Limited slid 0.2% to Rs 796 after the mortgage lender plans to raise $92.04 million through 15-month bond offering at a yield of 9.09%.
HCL Infosystems Limited fell 0.3% to Rs 37.45 after the electronics gadget maker launched tablet ME in Turkey following the release in Dubai.
ING Vysya Bank Limited slipped 1% to 537.45 after the bank traded as a subsidiary of Exide.
IL&FS Transportation Networks Limited slid 0.4% to Rs 180.95 after the company bid for four-lane toll road with the National Highway Authority for an estimated cost of Rs. 1,348.20 crores.
JSW Steel Limited decreased 0.9% to Rs 618.55 and the company plans to import 5 million tons of raw materials to operate plants in Tamil Nadu and Mumbai.
Steel Authority of India Limited fell 0.8% to Rs 63.40 as the government offering of 5.82% stake in the company to raise Rs 1,484 crore was nearly fully subscribed.
SKS Microfinance, Ltd jumped 3.6% to Rs 123.95 after the micro-lender completed securitization transactions with private and public sector bank worth Rs 115 crore.
Tribhovandas Bhimji Zaveri Limited plunged 11.6% to Rs 221.20 after the HSBC Global Investment Funds sold 12.7 lakh shares of jewelry retailer for Rs 32 crore.
