DLF third quarter net slumped 10.5% and GAIL (India) net surged 18%. HCL Infosystems net swung to a loss and HNG net swung to a loss. MTNL and Suzlon Energy net loss widened. Tata Motors net plummeted 52%.

The Sensex Index slipped 29.03 to close at 19,468.15 The CNX Nifty slid 9.55 to close at 5,887.40. For the week, the BSE Sensex inched lowered 0.1%.

Gainers & Losers

DLF Limited declined 2% to Rs 248.80 after consolidated net profit in the third quarter slumped 10.5% to Rs 285 crore.

Elder Pharmaceuticals Ltd dropped 3.6% to Rs 348.65 after consolidated net profit in the third quarter rose 2.1% to Rs 18.67 crore.

GAIL (India) Limited gained 1% to Rs 337.65 after net profit in the third quarter surged 17.7% to Rs 1,284.86 crore.

HCL Infosystems Limited declined 4.9% to Rs 34 after the company reported second quarter net swung to a loss of Rs 28.67 crore from net profit of Rs 9.11 crore a year ago period.

Hindusthan National Glass & Industries Limited slipped 1.7% to Rs 186.05 after the company reported second quarter net swung to a loss of Rs 66.55 crore compared to net profit of Rs 17.45 crore a year ago earlier.

Khoday India Limited declined 4.9% to Rs 51.45 after the company reported third quarter net swung to a loss of Rs 6.40 crore as against net profit of Rs 36.51 crore a year earlier.

Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited slumped 2.2% to Rs 22.20 after the company reported net loss in the third quarter widened to Rs 1,182.18 crore compared to Rs 929.77 crore a year ago earlier.

Rhodia Specialty Chemicals India Limited fell 0.03% to Rs 362 after the company reported third quarter net swung to a profit of Rs 36.74 crore from a loss of Rs 4.13 crore a year ago.

Suzlon Energy Limited plunged 8.6% to Rs 21.70 after the company reported net loss in the third quarter widened to Rs 1,154.53 from Rs 286.46 crore a year ago period.

Tata Motors Limited climbed 2.5% to Rs 304.05 after consolidated net profit in the third quarter plummeted 52.2% to Rs 1,628 crore.
