Aditya Birla Nuvo third quarter net climbed 28% and Bharat Petroleum net declined 47.5%. Coal India net jumped 8.9% and Dr. Reddy

[R]6:00 PM Mumbai – Aditya Birla Nuvo third quarter net climbed 28.1% and Bharat Petroleum net declined 47.5%. Coal India net jumped 8.9% and Dr. Reddy’s net dropped 29.2%. Hindustan Oil Exploration net swung to a loss and SBI net rose 4.1%. Wockhardt net surged 101%.[/R]

The Sensex Index dropped 110.90 to close at 19,497.18 The CNX Nifty decreased 36 to close at 5,896.95.

Gainers & Losers

Aditya Birla Nuvo Limited gained 0.8% to Rs 1,057.95 after consolidated net profit in the third quarter climbed 28.1% to Rs 323.21 crore.

ABG Shipyard Limited declined 2.1% to Rs 374.80 after net profit in the third quarter tumbled 59.9% to Rs 18.62 crore.

Apar Industries Limited gained 2.4% to Rs 144.50 after the company reported third quarter net swung to a profit of Rs 32.72 crore compared to net loss of Rs 10.11 crore a year earlier.

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited slipped 1.6% to Rs 395.40 after net profit in the third quarter declined 47.5% to Rs 1,647.57 crore.

Biocon Limited rose 0.2% to Rs 285 after the company entered into collaboration with the U.S. based Mylan Labs for global development of generic versions of its three insulin analog products.

Coal India Limited increased 1.2% to Rs 352.15 after consolidated net profit in the third quarter jumped 8.9% to Rs 4,395.11 crore.

Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Limited decreased 1.4% to Rs 1,878.15 after consolidated net profit in the third quarter dropped 29.2% to Rs 363.31 crore.

GVK Power & Infrastructure Limited declined 3.5% to Rs 11.90 after the third quarter net loss widened to Rs 57 crore from Rs 14.50 crore a year ago period.

Educomp Solutions Limited slumped 1.9% to Rs 114.90 after consolidated net profit in the third quarter tumbled 73.3% to Rs 6.57 crore.

Hindustan Oil Exploration Company Ltd plummeted 5.7% to Rs 91.45 after the company reported third quarter net swung to a loss of Rs 528.75 crore from net profit of Rs 4.81 crore a year earlier.

JSW Steel Limited declined 2.5% to Rs 786 after the company reported consolidated net loss in the third quarter widened to Rs 73.70 crore compared to Rs 47.89 crore a year ago period.

LIC Housing Finance Limited dropped 2.4% to Rs 261.40 after net profit in the third quarter dropped 22.7% to Rs 236.24 crore.

PTC India Ltd slipped 0.6% to Rs 70.15 after net profit in the third quarter surged 129.8% to Rs 21.88 crore.

State Bank of India slid 0.9% to Rs 2,235.65 after net profit in the third quarter increased 4.1% to Rs 3,396.06 crore.

Tata Steel Limited gained 1.2% to Rs 380.55 after the group reported consolidated net loss in the third quarter widened to Rs 763 crore compared to Rs 603 crore a year ago.

The Shipping Corporation of India Ltd declined 4.3% to Rs 50.85 after the company reported third quarter net swung to a loss of Rs 75.26 crore from net profit of Rs 74.10 crore a year ago period.

The India Cements Limited slumped 2.4% to Rs 80.30 after net profit in the third quarter plunged 53.6% to Rs 26.12 crore.

Wockhardt Limited dropped 2.1% to Rs 1,728.75 after consolidated net profit in the third quarter surged 101% to Rs 427.84 crore.
