Blue Dart third quarter net surged 101% and Crompton Greaves net swung to loss. EIL net declined 12.5% and Glenmark net jumped 375%. IOB and L&T Finance slid as third quarter non-performing assets increased. Nalco net surged 132%. RIL raised $800 million from senior perpetual notes.

The Sensex Index increased 14.10 to close at 20,005 and the CNX Nifty gained 5.85 to close at 6,055.75.

Gainers & Losers

Arvind Limited gained 2.8% to Rs 95.15 after consolidated net profit in the third quarter jumped 44.2% to Rs 75.22 crore.

Blue Dart Express Limited jumped 1.9% to Rs 2,015.50 after the net profit in the third quarter surged 101.1% to Rs 45.01 crore.

Balrampur Chini Mills Limited increased 1.1% to Rs 44 after the company reported third quarter net profit swung to Rs 60.22 crore compared to net loss of Rs 64.01 crore a year ago.

Central Bank of India slumped 2.4% to Rs 83.05 after net profit in the third quarter soared 58.9% to Rs 179.94 crore.

Crompton Greaves Limited slid 0.9% to Rs 107.55 after the company reported consolidated net loss in the third swing to Rs 189.36 crore from net profit of Rs 77.14 crore a year ago.

Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals Limited advanced 2% to Rs 66.60 after net profit in the third quarter swung to Rs 96.07 crore from a net loss of Rs 1.24 crore a year earlier.

Engineers India Limited slipped 1.3% to Rs 220.75 after the net profit in the third declined 12.5% to Rs 132.33 crore.

Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Limited dropped 1.7% to Rs 495.35 and third quarter consolidated net profit jumped 375% to Rs 212.91 crore.

Hindustan Unilever Limited gained 1.9% to Rs 477.75 after the spending on advertising for the fourth consecutive quarter increased 19% to Rs 8.22 billion from a year earlier.

Indian Overseas Bank slumped 2.3% to Rs 80.40 after the bank''s non-performing assets ratio jumped 4.13% as on December 31 from 3.87% as on September 30.

L&T Finance Holdings Limited jumped 5% to Rs 80.80 the company said its non-performing assets in the third quarter increased 2.39% to Rs 726.50 crore.

National Aluminium Company Limited surged 8.1% to Rs 50.60 after net profit in the third quarter surged 132.2% to Rs 118.94 crore.

Pidilite Industries Limited surged 5.8% to Rs 228.10 after the consolidated net profit in the third quarter climbed 51.3% to Rs 118.99 crore.

Reliance Industries Limited increased 1.8% to Rs 899.05 after the company raised $800 million via senior perpetual notes carrying interest rate of 5.875%.

Titan Industries Limited gained 2.1% to Rs 275.45 after net profit in the third quarter jumped 24.3% to Rs 203.73 crore.
