India Movers: HDFC, NTPC, Reliance Ind and SpiceJet Net Soar

Bhushan Steel third quarter net profit declined 20% and Finolex net swung to profit. HDFC net profit in the quarter jumped 27.5% and NTPC third quarter net profit climbed 22%. Reliance Industries net profit third quarter profit jumped 23.9%, ahead of expectations.

The Sensex Index increased 62.78 to close at 20,101.82 The CNX Nifty gained 17.90 to close at 6,082.30.

Gainers & Losers

Bhushan Steel Limited rose 0.2% to Rs 433.90 after the net profit in the third quarter declined 20% to Rs 221.20 crore.

Finolex Industries Limited surged 17.2% to Rs 71.25 after the company reported net profit in the third quarter swung to Rs 30.61 crore compared to net loss of Rs 1.76 crore a year ago.

Housing Development Finance Corporation, Ltd. slipped 0.9% to Rs 814.50 after net profit in the third quarter jumped 27.5% to Rs 1,705.83 crore.

HCL Technologies Limited increased 1.4% to Rs 714.10 after it signed engagement with D&M Holdings, Inc to provide SAP solutions.

Mastek Limited gained 2% to Rs 153.65 after the company said consolidated net profit in the third quarter jumped 16.3% to Rs 7.60 crore.

NTPC Limited slumped 1.5% to Rs 161.75 after net profit in the third quarter climbed 21.9% to Rs 2,596.76 crore.

Reliance Industries Limited increased 2.3% to Rs 920.05 after net profit in the third quarter jumped 23.9% to Rs 5,502 crore.

SpiceJet Limited soared 5% to Rs 46.15 after the company reported net profit in the third quarter Rs 102 crore compared to net loss of Rs 39.26 crore year ago earlier.

Tecpro Systems, Ltd. gained 2.5% to Rs 153.55 after the company received order of Rs 139.80 crore from The West Bengal Power Development Corporation.

UltraTech Cement Limited gained 0.8% to Rs 1,924.90 after net profit in the third quarter slipped 2.6% to Rs 600.81 crore.
