India Movers: Bajaj Auto Net Up 3%, Essar Oil Swings to Profit

Bajaj Auto dropped after third quarter net profit grew 3% and DEN Networks third quarter net profit surged nearly four-fold. Essar Oil third quarter net swung to profit. Ranbaxy and Daiichi Sankyo plan to merge businesses in Thailand.

The Sensex Index dropped 153.29 or 0.8% to close at 19,833.53 The CNX Nifty declined 54.75 to close at 6,001.85.

Bajaj Auto Limited declined 2.1% to Rs 2,070 after net profit in the third quarter grew 3% to Rs 818.74 crore.

Bajaj Finserv Limited dropped 3.7% to Rs 841.05 after the holding company said consolidated profit after tax in the third quarter soared 46% to Rs 249 crore.

Development Credit Bank Limited slipped 1.9% to Rs 49.25 after the private bank said net profit in the third quarter jumped 72.1% to Rs 26.91 crore.

DEN Networks Limited increased 1.9% to Rs 206.75 after the cable television operator reported consolidated net profit in the third quarter surged nearly four-fold to Rs 17.17 crore.

Essar Oil Limited gained 0.5% to Rs 73.15 after the company reported net profit in the third quarter swung to Rs 32 crore compared to net loss of Rs 362 crore a year ago.

Gateway Distriparks Limited slumped 2% to Rs 135 the container freight operator after 0.4% equity changed hands in two bulk deals in early session on the Bombay Stock Exchange today.

Ranbaxy Laboratories Limited rose 0.3% to Rs 496 announced their intention to integrate the business operation in Thailand to leverage and extends the synergies with Daiichi Sankyo.

TTK Prestige Limited surged 6.3% to Rs 3,734.90 after net profit in the third quarter declined 10.2% to Rs 30.28 crore.

Yes Bank, Ltd. decreased 1.9% to Rs 518.25 after net profit in the third quarter jumped 34.7% to Rs 342.30 crore.
