The Sensex Index dropped 75.93 to close at 19,666.59 The CNX Nifty slid 30.20 to close at 5,971.50.

Gainers & Losers

Arshiya International Limited plunged 19.9% to Rs 97.40 after the logistics company was alleged with financial irregularities at the company.

Bank of India increased 1.2% to Rs 369.40 rallied after the company was said to prepare for a capital raising.

Bharti Airtel Limited gained 1.1% to Rs 333.95 after the mobile phone company increased the price for data plans by 25%.

Coal India Limited advanced 1% to Rs 363.80 after the holding company said Ministry of Coal is looking to restructure the company.

Chemfab Alkalies Limited surged 20% to Rs 91.10 after the third quarter net profit climbed 144.1% to Rs 6.86 crore from a year ago.

Hindustan Copper Limited gained 0.4% to Rs 145.55 after Life Insurance Corporation purchased 2.25 crore shares in the latest quarter.

IndusInd Bank Limited slid 0.1% to Rs 434.20 after the third quarter net profit jumped 29.8% to Rs 267.27 crore from a year ago.

Mercator Limited slumped 1.3% to Rs 21.95 following the decline in Baltic Dry Index that tracks rates for dry commodities shipments.

National Aluminium Company Limited gained 0.2% to Rs 50.50 after the US based Alcoa Inc. swung to fourth quarter profit and estimated global aluminum demand to grow 7%.

PVR Limited declined 3.8% to Rs 296.50 after the film exhibitor purchased controlling stake in Cinemax India in a block deal.

SpiceJet Limited closed at Rs 45.55 after the discount airline raised Rs 54.27 crore through warrants to promoter Kalanithi Maran.

Western India Shipyard Limited added 0.4% to Rs 4.75 after the shipyard secured ship repairing orders valued about Rs 15 crore.
