Allianz agreed to pay more than $12.3 million to settle SEC charges. Gerresheimer acquires Indian pharma plastic packaging manufacturer Triveni. Petrofac expects to deliver net profit growth of at least 15% in 2012.

Air Berlin Plc soared 5.4% to €1.59_ after the airline established the topbonus frequent flyer program as a separate spin-off company. Etihad Airways has acquired a majority stake of 70% in the new topbonus Limited (Ltd.), while 30% remains with airberlin. The total transaction value is €200 million.

Allianz SE gained 0.5% to €104.20 after the financial services provider agreed to pay more than $12.3 million to settle the Securities and Exchange Commission’s charges for improper payments to government officials in Indonesia during a seven-year period.

Gerresheimer AG edged higher 1.1% to €40.69 after the specialty products manufacturer acquired the majority shareholding in the Indian company Triveni, a manufacturer of plastic containers and closures for the pharma industry to further accelerate its growth in the emerging markets.

Heineken N.V., the beer manufacturer fell 1.9% to €48.31 after a broker downgrade.

ING Groep N.V. declined 1.7% to €7.13 after the financial services provider confirmed that it continues to explore all options for the divestment of life insurance business in South Korea, ING Life Korea.

Norsk Hydro ASA rose 0.6% to NOK 27.76 after the aluminum producer appointed Eivind Kallevik as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

Petrofac Limited dipped 0.2% to 1,676 pence after the integrated facilities services provider expects to deliver net profit growth of at least 15% in 2012.

Royal Imtech N.V. climbed 0.7% to €17.22 after the technical services provider will be acquiring the Finnish technical services provider EMC Talotekniikka Oy.
