Advanced Computer Software Group plc gained 2.6% to 68.65 pence after the IT services provider agreed to acquire Serco Learning, an education software provider, for £7.25 million cash payable £6.25 million to Serco Group and £1 million pounds to iGate for the novation of a material services contract.
Air France-KLM SA fell 0.6% to €7.07 after the Franco-Dutch airline reported November traffic rose 2.2%, as revenue-per-kilometers climbed to 17.22 billion from 16.85 billion in the prior year.
Basilea Pharmaceutica AG dipped 0.5% to Sfr43.60 after the Switzerland-based biopharmaceutical company promoted Ronald Scott as chief executive officer from January 1 to succeed Anthony Man.
BMW AG rose 0.2% to €69.17 after the automobile manufacturer said November sales grew 23% to 170,932 vehicles from 138,954 vehicles sold last year. From January to November, deliveries rose 10.1% to around 1.66 million units from about 1.51 million units the previous year.
Worldwide sales of vehicles branded BMW increased 26.4% in November to 145,452 vehicles.
Grenkeleasing AG, the leasing company dropped 0.8% to €53.10 after a broker downgrade.
Rentokil Initial plc climbed 0.2% to 93.45 pence after the business services group completed the acquisition of Western Exterminator Company for a revised cash offer of $92.6 million with a deferred payment of up to $6 million payable within 18 months from existing financial facilities.
Rentokil also completed the acquisition of Eden Advanced Pest Technologies.
Sanofi SA gained 0.3% to €71.53 after the diversified healthcare company announced new Phase II data showing that JAK2 inhibitor reduced spleen size and improved constitutional symptoms in patients with intermediate-2 or high-risk primary or secondary myelofibrosis.
STMicroelectronics N.V. soared 3.5% to €5.18 after the semiconductor manufacturer decided to exit ST-Ericsson after a transition period as part of its new strategic plan.
