[R]1:30 PM Frankfurt – Aer Lingus passenger traffic improved in October. BMW profit rose 16% to €1.29 billion and Fraport revenue rose to €700.6 million in the third quarter. Lanxess quarterly earnings plunged 39% to €94 million.[/R]

Adecco S.A. soared 3% to Sfr46.49 after the recruitment services provider said third quarter group revenues were flat or down 5% in constant currency at €5.3 billion. Net income in the quarter fell 18% to €118 million from €145 million last year.

Aer Lingus Group Plc dipped 0.5% to €1.08 after the Irish airliner said total flown passenger numbers, including Aer Lingus Regional operations, in October rose 0.9% to 962.000 from 953,000 in the same period last year.

BMW AG rose 0.2% to €64.59 after the German car-maker said third quarter revenues rose 13.7% to €18.82 billion, from the previous year. Net profit for the period rose 16% to €1.29 billion from €1.11 billion in the prior-year quarter.

Dürr AG slumped 2.9% to €56.08 after the systems supplier reported third quarter earnings rose to €27.3 million from €18.6 million last year. Earnings per share grew to €1.53 from €1.04 in the same quarter a year earlier.

EBITDA for the quarter advanced annually to €53.5 million from €35 million a year ago quarter.

Fraport AG surged 3.6% to €45.44 after the air transportation hub operator reported third quarter revenue rose to €700.6 million, from €665.4 million last year. Profit for the quarter climbed to €151.6 million from €111.1 million in the year-ago quarter. Earnings per share were €1.63 compared to €1.20 in the same quarter a year before.

Hannover Re soared 5.2% to €56.31 after the German re-insurer reported third quarter revenues increased to €3.633 billion from €3.011 billion last year. Total net income for the quarter climbed to €303.84 million from net income of €174.64 million last year.

Lanxess AG fell 0.4% to €64.85 after the synthetic rubber maker said third quarter sales declined 8% to €2.2 billion from last year. Net income for the quarter plunged 39% to €94 million or €1.13 per share from €154 million or €1.85 per share in the previous year.

Pfeiffer Vacuum Technology AG rose 1% to €80.30 after the vacuum pumps manufacturer said third quarter revenues declined to €112 million from €120.4 million in the previous year. Net income for the quarter rose to €11.4 million or €1.14 per diluted share from €10.5 million or €1.06 per share in the comparable quarter a year earlier.

Salzgitter AG climbed 2.9% to €34.94 after the steelmaker estimates a pre-tax loss of around €25 million in the third quarter, mainly attributable to unsatisfactory results in its steel division.

Tornier N.V. declined 0.6% to $17.11 after the medical device company reported third quarter revenue rose to $58 million from $57.6 million last year. Net loss for the period widened to $11.7 million or 29 cents per share compared to $1.6 million or 4 cents per share last year.
