Barclays and ArcelorMittal slip to quarterly loss. Continental nine-month sales jumped 9.1% to

Anheuser-Busch InBev SA/NV fell 0.7% to €65.84 after the brewer reported third quarter revenues climbed 9.1% to $10.27 billion. Profit in the quarter increased to $1.84 billion or $1.15 per share from $1.59 billion or $1 per share in the previous year.
ArcelorMittal slumped 4.3% to €11.69 after the steelmaker reported third quarter sales fell to $19.72 billion from $24.21 billion in the prior year. Net loss in the quarter swung to $709 million or 46 cents per share compared to a profit of $659 million or 19 cents per share last year.
Barclays Plc slumped 3.9% to 229.42 pence after the financial services provider reported third quarter loss before tax was £47 million compared to a profit of £2.42 billion in the previous year.
Investment bank division income in the quarter rose 17% to £2.63 billion from the third quarter of 2011.
Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria, S.A. rose 1.6% to €6.43 after the Spanish financial group said third quarter net profit slumped to €146 million from €804 million last year.
BG Group plc plunged 18.8% to 1,083 pence after the natural gas company said third quarter revenue and other operating income increased 4% to $5.588 billion. Total operating profit increased 17% to $2.73 billion.
Continental AG dropped 0.9% to €78.73 after the automotive supplier reported nine months sales climbed annually 9.1% to €24.6 billion. Net income surged 62.5% to €1.5 billion with earnings per share of €7.26.
Deutsche Lufthansa AG to surged 6.9% to €11.74 after the German aviation group said third quarter total revenue rose 6.2% to €8.31 billion, from a year earlier. Net profit in the quarter climbed 30% to €642 million compared with €494 million in the prior-year period.
GDF Suez S.A. advanced 0.9% to €17.87 after the natural gas and electricity supplier said revenue for the nine-month period grew 8.4% to €70.9 billion and EBITDA climbed 5.8% to €12.78 billion compared with September 30 last year.
Novo Nordisk A/S climbed 0.7% to €935.50 after the drug maker said third quarter sales increased 20% to DKK 19.85 billion from a year ago. Net profit in the quarter grew to DKK 5.67 billion from DKK 4.20 billion in the prior-year quarter.
Total S.A. rose 1.3% to €39.49 after the oil and gas explorer said third quarter sales grew to €49.89 billion from €46.16 billion last year. Net income group share fell 7% to €3.07 billion compared to €3.31 billion a year ago.
