Deutsche Bank net revenues rose 18% to
[R]1:00 PM Frankfurt – Deutsche Bank net revenues rose 18% to €8.7 billion and UBS loss in the third quarter enlarged. Imperial Tobacco full-year revenue fell 2% to £28.57 billion. BP quarterly profit rose.[/R]
BP plc soared 3.5% to 439.85 pence after the oil and gas explorer said third quarter profit rose to $5.43 billion from $5.04 billion last year and underlying replacement cost profit was $5.2 billion compared to $5.5 billion in the quarter a year ago.
Danske Bank A/S slumped 4.6% to DKK 98.95 after the Danish bank reported nine-month net profit rose to DKK 3.6 billion from DKK 1.52 billion in the previous year, driven by strong income growth. Profit before tax for the period was DKK 6.3 billion.
Deutsche Bank AG soared 3.7% to €34.53 after the German lender reported third quarter net revenues rose 18% to €8.7 billion. Net income for the quarter fell to €755 million compared to a net income of €777 million in the third quarter 2011. Diluted earnings per share for the quarter rose to 78 cents compared to 74 cents in the third quarter 2011.
Eni SpA rose 1.7% to €17.62 after the oil and gas explorer said third quarter total revenues climbed to €31.72 billion from €25.57 billion in the year-ago quarter. Net profit for the quarter rose to €2.48 billion from €1.77 billion in the prior year.
Hugo Boss AG fell 1.1% to €73.40 after the clothing and accessories designer reported third quarter sales grew 5% to €646.3 million from last year. Net income for the quarter declined to €103.6 million, from €118 million reported a year ago.
Imperial Tobacco Group Plc climbed 0.1% to 2,332.46 pence after the cigarette maker reported full-year revenue fell 2% to £28.57 billion. Pre-tax profit for the year dropped to £1.08 billion from £2.15 billion a year-ago.
Metro AG gained 1.7% to €21.79 after the German discount retailer said third quarter net sales rose 0.6% to €15.9 billion from a year earlier. Profit for the period slumped to €77 million or 24 cents per share from €190 million or 58 cents per share in the prior-year quarter.
Software AG dropped 2.2% to €29.96 after the business infrastructure software provider reported third quarter total revenue dropped 6% to €257.4 million from year-ago quarter. Net income in the quarter fell 13% to €40.7 million or 47 cents per share compared with €46.6 million or 53 cents per share a year before.
TomTom NV edged lower 1.6% to €3.79 after the mapmaker reported third quarter group revenue fell 19% to €273.56 million. Net profit for the quarter decreased to €22.28 million or 10 cents per share, from €28.94 million or 13 cents per share a year ago.
UBS AG surged 5.6% to Sfr13.85 after the Swiss bank said third quarter net loss deepened to Sfr2.2 billion or 58 cents per share from a net loss of Sfr1.02 billion profit or 27 cents a year earlier.
Net interest income for the quarter declined to Sfr1.53 billion, from Sfr1.86 billion a year ago quarter.
