    Comcast second quarter income increased to $1.02 billion. Devon Energy second quarter income soared 288% to $2.7 billion. MasterCard second quarter income increased 33% to $608 million. Time Warner second quarter income rose to $638 million.

Net income in the quarter increased to $18 million or 14 cents per diluted share compared to $14 million or 17 cents per share a year earlier.

Agrium Inc. ((AGU)) fell 0.9% or 77 cents to $84.85 after the Canada based agricultural products maker reported second quarter sales rose 40% to $6.2 billion from $4.4 billion in the same quarter last year. Net earnings in the quarter increased 39% to $718 million or $4.54 per diluted share compared to $518 million or $3.28 per share a year ago.

Bruker Corporation ((BRKR)) slumped 10.3% or $1.69 to $14.58 after the scientific instruments maker reported second quarter revenue increased 33% to $401.2 million from $300.9 million in the same quarter last year. Net income in the quarter fell to $22.1 million or 13 cents per diluted share compared to $22.6 million or 14 cents per share a year earlier.

Comcast Corporation ((CMCSA)) fell 0.2% or 6 cents to $22.67 after the cable TV, Internet and phone services provider reported second quarter revenue increased 50.5% to $14.3 billion from $9.5 billion in the same quarter last year. Net income in the quarter increased to $1,022 million or 37 cents per diluted share compared to $884 million or 31 cents per share a year ago.

Devon Energy Corporation ((DVN)) fell 0.9% or 74 cents to $74.64 after the energy company reported second quarter revenue rose to $3.22 billion from $2.23 billion in the same quarter last year. Net earnings in the quarter soared 288% to $2,743 million or $6.48 per diluted share compared to $706 million or $1.58 per share in the prior-year quarter.

Entergy Corporation ((ETR)) fell 0.7% or 46 cents to $64.79 after the energy company reported second quarter total revenues fell to $2.80 billion from $2.86 billion in the same quarter last year. Net earnings in the quarter flat to $315.6 million or $1.76 per diluted share compared to $315.3 million or $1.65 per share a year ago.

Frontier Communications Corporation ((FTR)) decreased 6.7% or 50 cents to $6.87 after the communications company reported second quarter revenue surged to $1.32 billion from $0.52 billion in the same quarter last year. Net income in the quarter fell to $32.2 million or 3 cents per diluted share compared to $35.1 million or 11 cents per share in the prior-year quarter.

Garmin Ltd. ((GRMN)) increased 1.1% or 38 cents to $31.14 after the communication devices and applications provider said second quarter total revenues fell 8% to $674 million from $729 million in the same quarter last year. Net income in the quarter decreased to $109.5 million or 56 cents per diluted share compared to $134.8 million or 67 cents per share a year ago.

IntercontinentalExchange, Inc. ((ICE)) decreased 2.6% or $3.18 to $115.91 after the futures trading exchange operator reported second quarter revenues increased 10% to $325.2 million from $296.1 million in the same quarter last year. Net income in the quarter increased 19% to $121.4 million or $1.64 per diluted share compared to $101.7 million or $1.36 per share a year earlier.

MasterCard Incorporated ((MA)) gained 8.8% or $26.45 to $324.88 after the payments company reported second quarter revenues increased 22.1% to $1.7 billion from $1.4 billion in the same quarter last year. Net income in the quarter increased 32.8% to $608 million or $4.76 per diluted share compared to $458 million or $3.49 per share a year ago.

Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc. ((MMC)) increased 2.1% or 60 cents to $29.10 after the insurance adviser said second quarter revenues increased 12% to $2.9 billion from $2.6 billion in the same quarter last year. Net income in the quarter increased 19% to $282 million or 50 cents per diluted share compared to $236 million or 43 cents per share a year earlier.

Magellan Midstream Partners, L.P. ((MMP)) fell 0.7% or 41 cents to $58.13 after the transportation and storage company reported second quarter revenue increased to $423.1 million from $383.3 million in the same quarter last year. Net income in the quarter flat to $102.4 million or 96 cents per diluted share compared to $103.0 million or 91 cents per share a year earlier.

Marathon Oil Corporation ((MRO)) slumped 6.4% or $1.87 to $27.25 after the energy company reported second quarter sales rose to $3.7 billion from $2.8 billion in the same quarter last year. Net income in the quarter increased to $996 million or $1.39 per diluted share compared to $709 million or $1.00 per share a year ago.

Marathon Petroleum Corporation ((MPC)) slipped 3.5% or $1.49 to $40.84 after the petroleum product refiners and transporters reported second quarter total revenue increased to $20.8 billion from $15.8 billion in the same quarter last year. Net income in the quarter doubled to $802 million or $2.24 per diluted share compared to $405 million or $1.13 per share a year earlier.

Spectra Energy Corp ((SE)) decreased 1.2% or 32 cents to $26.13 after the natural gas related energy reported second quarter revenues increased to $1.19 billion from $1.06 billion in the same quarter last year. Net income in the quarter increased to $274 million or 44 cents per diluted share compared to $174 million or 27 cents per share a year ago.

SPX Corporation ((SPX)) slumped 11.3% or $8.04 to $62.74 after the engineered solutions provider said second quarter revenue increased 16.4% to $1.38 billion from $1.19 billion in the same quarter last year. Net income in the quarter fell to $34.3 million or $0.67 per diluted share compared to $78.8 million or $1.57 per share a year earlier.

Time Warner Inc. ((TWX)) decreased 2% or 68 cents to $33.32 after the media and entertainment company reported second quarter revenues increased 10% to $7.0 billion from $6.4 billion in the same quarter last year. Net income in the quarter increased to $638 million or 59 cents per diluted share compared to $562 million or 49 cents per share a year ago.

TRW Automotive Holdings Corp. ((TRW)) increased 3.8% or $1.80 to $48.13 after the auto and truck parts supplier reported second quarter sales increased 16% to $4.2 billion from $3.7 billion in the same quarter last year. Net income in the quarter increased to $293 million or $2.21 per diluted share compared to $227 million or $1.78 per share a year ago.

The Clorox Company ((CLX)) fell 0.8% or 60 cents to $69.69 after the consumer and institutional products maker reported fourth quarter net sales increased 4% to $1.5 billion from $1.4 billion in the same quarter last year. Net earnings in the quarter increased to $169 million or $1.26 per diluted share compared to net loss $171 million or $1.20 per share a year ago.
