ITT Corporation ((ITT)) advanced 1.1% or 68 cents to $57.32 after the engineering and manufacturing copmany and Saudi Arabian Oil Company signed comprehensive seven-year strategic partnership agreement for ITT to provide products and services to Saudi Arabian petrochemical projects.

Nike, Inc. ((NKE)) gained 7% or $5.76 to $87.38 after the sporting goods maker reported fourth quarter revenues increased 14% to $5.8 billion from $5.1 billion in the same quarter last year. Net income in the quarter grew 14% to $594 million or $1.24 per diluted share compared to $522 million or $1.06 per share a year ago.

Standard Microsystems Corporation ((SMSC)) increased 7% or $1.68 to $25.69 after the silicon based circuits and systems maker said first quarter revenues rose 7% to $103.5 million from $97.1 million in the same quarter last year. Net income in the quarter grew to $6.2 million or 26 cents per diluted share compared to $0.63 million or 3 cents per share a year earlier.

Shire plc ((SHPGY)) rose 0.6% or 59 cents to $91.79 after the UK based biopharmaceutical company completes acquisition of Advanced BioHealing, Inc. as first announced on May 17, 2011, and now has been completed.
