Agilysys, Inc. ((AGYS)) increased 2% or 15 cents to $7.65 after the information technology company reported fourth quarter total net sales increased 5.8% to $143.8 million from $135.8 million in the same quarter last year. Net loss in the quarter widened to $45.0 million or $1.97 per diluted share compared to $0.5 million or $0.02 per share a year earlier.
Best Buy Co., Inc. ((BBY)) gained 3.2% or 93 cents to $29.74 after the multi channel retailer reported first quarter revenue rose 1% to $10.9 million from $10.8 million in the same quarter last year. Comparable store sales decreased 1.7% Net earnings in the quarter fell to $136 million or 35 cents per diluted share compared to $155 million or 36 cents per share a year ago.
Casey's General Stores, Inc. ((CASY)) increased 6.7% or $2.77 to $43.80 after the convenience store operator reported fourth quarter revenues rose 31.4% to $1.55 billion, from $1.18 billion in the comparable quarter last year. Net profit in the quarter increased 4.1% to $22.8 million compared to net profit of $21.9 million last year.
On a per share basis, earnings edged higher to 60 cents compared with 43 cents last year, reflecting a lower share count for the quarter.
FactSet Research Systems Inc. ((FDS)) decreased 4.7% or $4.99 to $99.30 after the provider of global financial and economic information reported third quarter revenues rose 14.6% to $183.65 million, from $160.30 million in the prior year. Net income in the quarter climbed 12% to $43.31 million or 92 cents per diluted share compared to net income of $38.66 million or 81 cents per share last year.
General Mills, Inc. ((GIS)) fell 0.2% or 11 cents to $37.98 after the global manufacturer and marketer of consumer foods reiterated its fiscal year 2011 earnings per share guidance of $2.46 to $2.48 excluding mark-to-market effects and a net gain related to certain tax items.
GT Solar International, Inc. ((SOLR)) increased 6.3% or 77 cents to $12.96 after the solar and LED equipment estimates earnings of about $0.30 per share for the first quarter of 2012, up from the previous estimate range of $0.08 to $0.11 per share.
Honda Motor Co., Ltd. ((HMC)) fell 0.8% or 29 cents to $35.84 after the manufacturer of automobiles and motorcycle said it expects fiscal year 2012 net income of 195.0 billion yen on net sales and other operating revenue of 8.3 trillion yen.
Northland Power Inc. increased 2% or 33 cents to $16.43 after the unincorporated open-ended income trust reported first quarter sales surged 53% to C$96.3 million from C$63 million last year. Net income generated in the quarter was C$55 million compared to a net loss of C$61.4 million in the prior year.
LML Payment Systems Inc. ((LMLP)) soared 16.4% or 50 cents to $3.54 after the electronic payment services provider reported fourth quarter revenue surged to $25.1 million from $3.6 million in the same quarter last year. Net income in the quarter improved to $7.27 million or 25 cents per diluted share compared net loss to $0.18 million or 1 cent per share a year earlier.
