Net income in the quarter soared 165% to $9.4 million or 40 cents per diluted share compared to $3.6 million or 16 cents per share from a year ago.
For the full year, net revenue soared 42% to $159.9 million from $112.8 million. Net income surged 1,618% $19.6 million or 83 cents per share compared to net loss of $1.1 million or 5 cents per share a year ago.
Amerigroup Corporation ((AGP)) gained 2.2% or $1.26 to $57.06 after the healthcare solutions provider reported fourth quarter revenues rose 10.2% to $1.50 billion from $1.36 billion in the fourth quarter of 2009. Net income in the quarter soared 98% to $79.63 million or $1.59 per share compared with net income of $40.22 million or 79 cents per share last year.
For the full year, net sales fell 12.1% to $5.81 billion from $5.19 billion. Net income increased to $273.4 billion or $5.40 per share compared to $149.3 billion or $2.85 per share a year ago.
Anglo American plc ((AAL)) declined 2.2% or $90.50 to $3205.50 after the UK bases mining company said fiscal year 2010 group revenue increased 34% to $27.96 billion from $20.86 billion in the prior year. Profit for the period surged 169% to $6.54 billion or $5.18 per share from $2.43 billion or $1.98 per share in the previous year on higher metal prices.
Apache Corporation ((APA)) fell 0.4% or 59 cents $120.03 after the energy company reported fourth quarter revenues soared to $3.43 billion from $2.55 billion in the same quarter of last year. Net income in the quarter surged to $670 million or $1.77 per diluted share compared to $582 million or $1.72 per share from a year ago.
For the full year, revenues increased to $12.1 billion from $8.6 billion. Net income soared to $3,000 million or $8.46 per share compared to net loss of $292 million or $0.87 per share the prior year.
Barnes Group Inc. ((B)) plunged 6.9% or $1.50 to $20.23 after the maker of airframe and turbine engine stated fourth quarter net sales grew 10.4% to $283.27 million from $256.47 million in the prior-year quarter. Net income in the quarter surged 86% to $11.52 million or 21 cents per diluted share compared to net income of $6.21 million or 11 cents per share last year.
Bucyrus International, Inc. ((BUCY)) rose 0.05% or 5 cents to $91.00 after the mining equipment maker said fourth quarter sales rose to $1.2 billion from $0.64 billion in the same quarter last year. Net earnings in the quarter surged to $129.9 million or $1.58 per diluted share compared to $81.4 million or $1.07 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Campbell Soup Company ((CPB)) slumped 4.1% or $1.46 to $33.48 after the convenience food product maker reported second quarter sales fell 1% to $2.13 billion from $2.15 billion in the same quarter last year. Net earnings in the quarter decreased 8% to $239 million or 71 cents per diluted share compared to $259 million or 74 cents per share for the year-ago quarter.
Cabela’s Inc ((CAB)) tumbled 6.3% or $1.97 to $29.22 after the specialty retailer reported fourth quarter revenue rose 8.4% to $934 million from $919 million in the same quarter last year. Net income in the quarter surged to $66.3 million or 95 cents per diluted share compared to $16.6 million or 24 cents per share from a year ago.
Calpine Corporation ((CPN)) slipped 3.5% or 52 cents to $14.20 after the wholesale power generation company reported fourth quarter operating revenues declined 4.5% to $1.47 billion from $1.54 billion in the preceding year. Net loss in the quarter narrowed 44.2% to $24 million or 5 cents per diluted share compared to net loss of $43 million or 9 cents per share last year.
CF Industries Holdings, Inc. ((CF)) decreased 1.9% or $2.82 to $144.99 after the fertilizer producer said fourth quarter revenues surged 144% to $1.2 billion from $506.7 million last year. Net earnings in the quarter soared 290% to $200.3 million or $2.78 per share compared to net earnings of $51.4 million or $1.04 per share a year earlier.
EOG Resources, Inc. ((EOG)) surged 4.5% or $4.70 to $109.01 after the oil and gas explorer reported fourth quarter net operating revenues increased 1.1% to $1.78 billion from $1.76 billion last year. Net income in the quarter plunged 87% to $53.7 million or 21 cents per diluted share compared to net income of $400.4 million or $1.58 per share in the year-ago quarter.
Dr Pepper Snapple Group Inc. Intuit Inc. ((INTU)) soared 7.2% or $3.61 to $54.05 after the provider of business and financial management solutions reported second quarter net revenue rose 5% to $878 million from $837 million last year. Net income in the quarter declined 36% to $73 million or 23 cents per diluted share compared to net income of $114 million or 35 cents per share in the previous year.
Nordstrom, Inc. ((JWN)) increased 1.7% or 84 cents to $47.32 the fashion specialty retailer said fourth quarter net sales increased 10.9% to $2.82 billion from $2.54 billion last year on same-store sales increase of 6.8%. Net income in the quarter rose 35% to $232 million or $1.04 per share compared to net income of $172 million or 77 cents per share for the year-ago quarter.
Net sales for the fiscal year 2010 increased 12.7% to a record $9.31 billion from $8.26 billion the prior year. Same-store sales for the fiscal year 2010 rose 8.1%. For the fiscal year 2010, net income rose 39% to $613 million or $2.75 per share compared to net income $441 million or $2.01 per share for the fiscal year 2010.
OGE Energy Corp. ((OGE)) rose 0.7% or 34 cents to $47.53 after the energy and services provider said fourth quarter revenue rose to $828.5 million from $773.7 million in the same quarter of last year. Net income in the quarter fell to $30.7 million or 31 cents per diluted share compared to $34.2 million or 35 cents per share from a year ago.
For the full year, revenues increased to $3.7 billion from $2.8 billion. Net income rose to $295.3 million or $2.99 per share compared to $258.3 million or $2.66 per share the prior year.

Net income in the quarter increased to $296.2 million or $5.66 per diluted share compared to $12.8 million or $0.24 per share from a year ago.
For the full year, revenues rose 2% to $1.32 billion from $1.29 billion in the last year. Net income soared to $327.3 million or $6.26 per share compared to $48.8 million or $0.94 per share the prior year.
School Specialty, Inc. ((SCHS)) fell 0.1% or 2 cents to $15.97 after the education company said third quarter revenue fell 12.9% to $89.9 million from $103.1 million in the same quarter of last year. The Timberland Company ((TBL)) rose 0.01% or 6 cents to $38.42 after the footwear, apparel and accessory maker said fourth quarter revenue surged 26.7% to $491.1 million from $387.7 million in the same quarter of last year.
