ACC fell after net profit tumbled 31%. Andhra Bank raises prime lending rate by 50 basis points. Cummins India tumbled after net profit declined 6%. Engineers India reported third quarter net profit rose 10%. Spicejet fell 12%.

The BSE Sensex declined 2.3% or 441.16 to close at 18,008.15 and the CNX Nifty on the National Stock Exchange decreased 131.00 to close at 5,395.75.

Gainers & Losers

ACC Limited declined 1.3% to Rs 972.50 after the cement maker reported year ended consolidated net profit tumbled 31.10% to Rs 1077.52 crore.

Andhra Bank increased 1% to Rs 140.10 after the bank raise the benchmark prime lending rate from 13.25% per annum to 13.75% from February 5.

Abhishek Industries Limited gained 3.8% to Rs 15.22 after the agro-based paper and yarn maker reported third quarter net profit surged to Rs 15.78 crore.

Balrampur Chini Mills Limited slumped 4.9% to Rs 70.55 after the sugar maker said first quarter net profit plunged 69.47% to Rs 23.37 crore.

Brigade Enterprises Limited surged 13.1% to Rs 109.70 after the real estate developer reported net profit soared 880% to Rs 58.12 crore.

Cummins India Limited tumbled 5.7% to Rs 645.70 after the diesel engine maker reported net profit declined 6.25% to Rs 138.90 crore.

Divi''s Laboratories Limited increased 1.2% to Rs 633.05 after the pharmaceutical ingredient maker said third quarter consolidated net profit surged 44.12% to Rs 98 crore.

Engineers India Limited fell 0.8% to Rs 285.15 after the engineering consultancy company reported third quarter net profit rose 10.3% to Rs 122.45 crore.

Graphite India Limited plunged 4.9% to Rs 87.95 after the graphite, power and steel company said third quarter net profit declined 29.82% to Rs 44.20 crore.

JK Lakshmi Cement Limited rose 1% to Rs 47.55 after the cement producer planning to hike cement prices by up to Rs 10 per bag in two weeks.

RSWM Limited soared 6.6% to Rs 181.65 after the synthetic and blended spun yarn maker reported third quarter net profit surged 312.5% to Rs 39.89 crore.

Rane Holdings Limited gained 1.1% to Rs 268.05 after the automotive component maker said consolidated net profit rose 26.6% to Rs 13.39 crore.

Spicejet Limited tumbled 12.8% to Rs 48.65 after the airline company reports the purchase of low cost airline by Sun TV promoter Kalanithi Maran may face central government investigation.
