Bajaj Auto declined after January sales rose 18% to 313,583 units. Hero Honda plunged 5% after third quarter net profit declined 20%. NMDC third quarter net profit soared 81.4%.

The BSE Sensex rose 0.3% or 68.40 to close at 18,090.62 and the CNX Nifty on the National Stock Exchange increased 14.80 to close at 5,432.00.

Bharti Airtel Limited gained 1.4% to Rs 323.25 after the telecommunication service provider said underlying third quarter operating earnings margin was sustained at 33.8%.

Bajaj Auto Ltd declined 2.3% to Rs 1,217.60 after the two and three-wheeler vehicle maker total vehicle sales rose 18% to 3,13,583 units in January.

Confidence Petroleum India Limited decreased 2.4% to Rs 17.85 after the LPG cylinder maker reported third quarter consolidated net profit jumped 90.25% to Rs 17.56 crore.

Hero Honda Motors Limited plunged 5.2% to Rs 1,523.05 after the motorcycle maker said third quarter net profit decreased 20% to Rs 429 crore.

ICRA Limited slumped 4.3% to Rs 1,133.00 after the investment and credit rating agency reported third quarter consolidated net profit slipped 22.63% to Rs 11.28 crore.

NMDC Limited rose 0.2% to Rs 265.70 after the iron ore producer and exporter said third quarter net profit soared 81.4% to Rs 1518.03 crore.

Parabolic Drugs Limited fell 0.1% to Rs 48.60 after the pharmaceutical company said third quarter net profit surged 33.2% to Rs 12.48 crore.

Rasoya Proteins Limited increased 2.1% to Rs 67.40 after the soya crude oil extraction said third quarter net profit surged 134.4% to Rs 3 crore.

Tata Steel Limited fell 0.8% to Rs 625.70 after the steel maker’s shares allotted in the company''s follow-on public offer were admitted to trading today.

The Dhanalakshmi Bank Limited rose 0.9% to Rs 98.10 after the Birla Sun Life Insurance Company bought 12,75,000 shares or 1.49% stake in the bank at Rs 96 in a bulk deal on NSE on February 1.

Vardhman Textiles Limited gained 3.4% to Rs 289.50 after the textile producer reported third quarter net profit galloped 183.68% to Rs 135.57 crore.

Venus Remedies Limited increased 3.2% to Rs 223.00 after the pharmaceutical formulation company secured an approval from UK Medicine & Healthcare Regulatory Agency to market anticancer drug.

Unitech Limited surged 5.1% to Rs 45.25 after the real estate developer repaid Rs 50.6 crore to creditors.
