    Stock in Mumbai tumbled. Bharti Airtel rose 0.6% after the government panel highlighted irregularities in 2G spectrum allocation. Coal India rose 0.6%. Hindustan Construction decreased 3.1% and received an observation letter for its unit Lavasa Corp

[R]6:00 PM Mumbai – Stock in Mumbai tumbled. Bharti Airtel rose 0.6% after the government panel highlighted irregularities in 2G spectrum allocation. Coal India rose 0.6%. Hindustan Construction decreased 3.1% and received an observation letter for its unit Lavasa Corp’s proposed $400 million public offering.[/R]

The BSE Sensex tumbled 1.73% or 345.20 to close at 19,585.44. The CNX Nifty on the National Stock Exchange declined 108.50 to close at 5,890.30.

Gainers & Losers

APL Apollo Tubes Limited rose 0.8% to Rs 143.80 after the tube maker said it has completed the acquisition of Lloyds Line Pipe, a Maharashtra-based manufacturer in an all cash deal for Rs 40 crore.

Bharti Airtel Limited rose 0.6% to Rs 327.00 and the government panel highlighted irregularities in 2G spectrum allocation.

Coal India Limited rose 0.6% to Rs 331.95.

Gitanjali Gems Limited fell 1% to Rs 311.15 after the diamond and jewelry maker said three private equity firms are in the race to buy stakes in units of the parent company.

Hindustan Construction Company Limited decreased 3.1% to Rs 56.45 after the company received an observation letter from market regulator for its unit Lavasa Corp''s proposed public offering of up to Rs 2,000 crore.

LGS Global Limited fell 0.06% to Rs 78.85.

Niraj Cement Structurals Ltd slumped 1.9% to Rs 79.75 after the construction contractor secured five orders for Rs 179.08 crore for strengthening of roads & bridges in Lucknow and Jagdalpur.

Tulsi Extrusions Limited soared 4.4% to Rs 41.35 after the plastic pipe maker’s board approved bonus issue in the ratio of 1-to-10.
