Stock in Mumbai Slumped. Ansal Housing gained 2.3% and net profit increased 107%. ABG Shipyard fell 0.4% after net profit rose 22.7%. Gravita India steeps 87.5% premium over the initial public offer price of Rs 125. Mahindra Satyam tumbled 11.8% after net profit dropped 76%.

The BSE Sensex plunged 2.19% or 444.55 to close at 19,865.14. The CNX Nifty on the National Stock Exchange declined 132.90 to close at 5,988.70.

Gainers & Losers

Ansal Housing and Constructions Ltd. gained 2.3% to Rs 65.55 after the real estate developer reported second quarter net profit increased 107.53% to Rs 12.95 crore.

ABG Shipyard Limited fell 0.4% to Rs 449.55 after the ship builder and repairer said second quarter net profit rose 22.70% to Rs 56.27 crore.

Arshiya International Limited slumped 2.8% to Rs 295.95 after the logistic and warehousing provider said second quarter consolidated net profit surged 34.7% to Rs 16.47 crore.

Aster Silicates Ltd. declined 5.8% to Rs 44.10 after the sodium silicate maker reported second quarter net profit tumbled 81.1% to Rs 0.32 crore.

Bosch Limited increased 3% to Rs 6,428.05.

BS Transcomm decreased 2.3% to Rs 205.15 after the telecom and power infrastructure provider secured an order worth Rs 53 crore from Simplex Infrastructures for supply of 400 kilovolt transmission line towers for the inter-state link between West Bengal and Assam.

Dabur India Limited decreased 3.9% to Rs 93.30 after the ayurvedic and natural health care said its US-based wholly owned subsidiary Dermoviva Skin Essentials Inc will acquire Namaste Group of US for $100 million.

Eicher Motors Limited gained 3.7% to Rs 1,282.15 after the commercial vehicle maker reports the company investing Rs 500 crore to expand capacity to cater to rising demand.

Gravita India Ltd surged 68.3% to Rs 210.40 after the metal producer a steep 87.44% premium over the initial public offer price of Rs 125.

Hindustan Copper Limited plunged 4% to Rs 359.00 after the refined copper maker reports the company''s follow-on public offer is likely to be priced at Rs 200 per share.

IG Petrochemicals Limited declined 6.2% to Rs 42.65 after the organic chemical maker said second quarter net profit slumped 40.1% to Rs 5.13 crore.

Kohinoor Foods Limited tumbled 11.3% to Rs 56.95 after the rice, pulses, wheat flour, spices maker reported second quarter net profit slumped 54.3% to Rs 2.69 crore.

Kemrock Industries and Exports Limited fell 1.6% to Rs 697.30 after the polymer resin maker signed a pact with Hindustan Aeronautics to set up a joint venture company in India to develop and manufacture aerospace grade carbon fiber pre-pregs.

Mahindra Satyam tumbled 11.8% to Rs 74.40 after the information technology provider reported second quarter consolidated net profit dropped 76.1% to Rs 23.30 crore from first quarter of June.

Murli Industries Limited slipped 7.5% to Rs 82.40 after the solvent extraction maker said second quarter net profit fell 74% to Rs 2.72 crore.

Nu Tek India Limited slumped 2.5% to Rs 27.15 after the telecom infrastructure provider secured an order for developing infrastructure for communications & surveillance of defense unit from BEL.

SKS Microfinance Limited plunged 11.5% to Rs 799.25 after the non-banking finance company might have to reduce interest rates further on reports the government is considering setup of regulatory mechanism for the microfinance sector.

The Ruby Mills Limited declined 6% to Rs 1,131.95 after the cotton yarn and fabric maker said second quarter net profit slumped 69% to Rs 1.31 crore.
