Stock in Mumbai fell. Apollo Tyres plunged 6% after net profit fell 59%. DLF Limited slumped 4% after net profit fell 5%. Nagarjuna Construction declined 1% and net profit rose 35%. Ranbaxy Laboratories slumped 3% and net profit soared 169%. Vardhman Industries gained 4% net profit spurted 116%.

The BSE Sensex plunged 1.37% or 286.62 to close at 20,589.09. The CNX Nifty on the National Stock Exchange slumped 81.45 to close at 6,194.25.

Apollo Tyres Ltd. plunged 6.1% to Rs 70.60 after the tire manufacturer said second quarter consolidated net profit fell 58.79% to Rs 53.25 crore.
Bhushan Steel Limited fell 0.4% to Rs 529.25 after the steel maker reported second quarter net profit rose 36.93% to Rs 259.02 crore.
Britannia Industries Limited decreased 2.1% to Rs 431.25 after the bakery products maker said second quarter net profit declined 46.05% to Rs 31.87 crore.
Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited declined 1.2% to Rs 746.30 after the petroleum industry reported second quarter net profit of Rs 2,142.22 crore compared to net loss of Rs 158.77 crore from a year ago.
Cords Cable Industries Limited gained 3% to Rs 42.95 after the cable maker said second quarter net profit jumped 90.3% to Rs 1.37 crore.
DLF Limited slumped 4.4% to Rs 346.45 after the real estate developer reported second quarter consolidated net profit fell 4.9% to Rs 418.38 crore.
Elecon Engineering Company Limited fell 0.1% to Rs 94.45 after the material handling equipment maker won order worth Rs 36 crore from Essar Projects (India).
El Forge Limited decreased 1.7% to Rs 24.70 after the steel forging company reported second quarter net loss of Rs 2.49 crore higher than net loss of Rs 1.46 crore from a year ago.
Eros International Media Ltd gained 1.1% to Rs 200.00 after the media and entertainment firm said second quarter consolidated net profit rose 12.9% to Rs 45.33 crore.
Hanung Toys and Textiles Limited increased 2.6% to Rs 393.80 after the toys and home furnishing company reported second quarter net profit surged 62.4% to Rs 30.29 crore.
