    Stock in Mumbai rose. Apollo Hospitals rose 0.2% after net profit rose 45.5%. State Bank of India plunged 4.4% after the largest bank in India reported flat profit. Sundram Fasteners gained 3% after net profit soared 63.5%. Thermax acquired European boiler manufacturer for 29.5 million euros.

The BSE Sensex rose 0.38% or 80.10 to close at 20,932.48. The CNX Nifty on the National Stock Exchange gained 28.35 to close at 6,301.55.

Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Limited rose 0.2% to Rs 526.85 after the healthcare provider said second quarter net profit rose 45.48% to Rs 49.55 crore.

Aban Offshore Limited increased 1% to Rs 850.15 on positive comments from foreign brokers.

Assam Company India Limited surged 15% to Rs 27.90 after the tea plantation anticipated higher tea prices due to a industry supply disruption.

Dujodwala Paper Chemicals Limited fell 0.8% to Rs 18.00 after the synthetic resins and chemical maker said second quarter net profit rose 19.29% to Rs 4.02 crore.

Elpro Packaging Limited gained 4.8% to Rs 21.70 and closed higher for the eleventh trading session in a row.

GVK Power & Infrastructure Limited gained 2.6% to Rs 46.85 after the company signed an agreement with 3i India Infrastructure Fund to lead an investment of Rs 1,200 crore for a 21.1% stake in its energy unit GVK Energy.
