Stock in Mumbai closed higher. CESC Ltd increased 1.7% after net profit rose 23%. GAIL (India) Ltd rose after net profit increased 29.5%. Fortis Healthcare Limited gained 1.4% after net profit surged four-fold. T.V. Today Network Ltd. plunged 4% after net loss of Rs 7.6 crore.

The BSE Sensex rose 0.59% or 120.05 to close at 20,465.74. The CNX Nifty on the National Stock Exchange gained 41.50 to close at 6,160.50.

Aurobindo Pharma Limited gained 1.5% to Rs 1,267.85 after the generic pharmaceutical board approved a 5-for-1 stock split with today’s announcement of second quarter results.

Ashok Leyland Limited fell 0.9% to Rs 75.25 after the commercial vehicle maker reported muted sales growth in October.

Bharat Electronics Limited soared 3.9% to Rs 1,734.75.

Coromandel International Limited gained 2.5% to Rs 650.05 on the hopes that urea prices will be decontrolled in a cabinet meeting scheduled on November 4.

CESC Ltd increased 1.7% to Rs 379.70 after the power, retail and property investor said second quarter net profit rose 23.02% to Rs 155 crore.

GAIL (India) Limited rose 0.1% to Rs 487.00 after the natural gas distribution company reported second quarter net profit increased 29.49% to Rs 923.55 crore.

Fortis Healthcare Limited gained 1.4% to Rs 166.40 after the healthcare reported second quarter consolidated net profit surged 476.56% to Rs 74.78 crore.

ICICI Bank Limited rose 0.5% to Rs 1,237.60.

JAI Corp Limited rose 0.8% to Rs 244.40 after the steel sheet maker said second quarter net profit soared 37.34% to Rs 25.34 crore.

KEC International Limited increased 1% to Rs 492.35 after the engineering construction company’s board approved a 5-for-1 stock split.

Kemrock Industries and Exports Limited gained 0.4% to Rs 687.55 after the fiberglass reinforced polymer maker signed a pact with Switzerland''s DSM Composite Resins AG for making specialty resins in India.

Neyveli Lignite Corporation Limited rose 0.4% to Rs 162.05 after the lignite mine industry reported second quarter net profit rose 12.4% to Rs 273.71 crore.

Oracle Financial Services Software Limited increased 2% to Rs 2,361.75 after the information technology said second quarter consolidated net profit rose 28.82% to Rs 263.52 crore.

Rossell Tea Limited soared 5% and locked to Rs 945.75 after the tea and coffee producer company''s board approved a 5-for-1 stock split.

Sundaram Clayton Limited surged 3.9% to Rs 230.80 after the non ferrous die casting company reported second quarter net profit soared 90.54% to Rs 9.47 crore.

Spicejet Limited decreased 2.6% to Rs 85.85 after the airline and cargo reported net second quarter profit of Rs 10.11 crore compared to net loss of Rs 101.29 crore from a year ago.

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. gained 2.8% to Rs 2,250.00 after the specialty pharmaceutical reports a US district court has ruled in favour of the company on November 2, in the Taxotere patent case.

Texmaco Limited advanced 2.3% to Rs 66.50 after the conglomerate entered into an agreement with Bombardier Transportation to jointly bid for the manufacture and supply of electric locomotives to Indian Railways.

The Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited declined 3.2% to Rs 351.40 on profit booking after the stock rose 14.68% in the preceding two trading sessions, boosted by strong second quarter results.

T.V. Today Network Ltd. plunged 4% to Rs 77.40 after the television broadcasting company reported second quarter net loss of Rs 7.59 crore compared to net profit of Rs 10.61 crore from a year ago.

Venus Remedies Limited increased 1.5% to Rs 296.60 after the pharmaceutical company received good manufacturing practices certification from Saudi Arabia.
