    Stock in Mumbai closed lower. Bajaj Auto Ltd. rose 1% after sales increased 32%. DLF Limited plunged 3.5% after RBI tightened home lending and raised rates. Emami Limited surged 5.4% after net profit gained 45.3%. GlaxoSmithKline rose 1% after net profit rose 31%. PVR Limited gained 3%.

Emami Limited surged 5.4% after net profit gained 45.3%. GlaxoSmithKline rose 1% after net profit rose 31%. PVR Limited gained 3% net profit rose 39.3%.[/R]

The BSE Sensex fell 0.18% or 36.59 to close at 20,319.04. The CNX Nifty on the National Stock Exchange rose 1.45 to close at 6,119.00.

ACC Limited increased 4.1% to Rs 1,056.90, the stock rose for the second day after cement shipments rose 13.6% to 1.92 million tons in October from a year ago.

ABG Shipyard Limited rose 0.3% to Rs 475.10 after the shipbuilding company secured an overseas order worth Rs 2,000 crore from Drilling & Offshore for construction of two jack-up rigs.

Bank of Baroda rose 0.5% to Rs 1,025.00, Reserve Bank of India lifted its key rates sixth time in a row to combat stubborn inflation.

Bajaj Auto Ltd. rose 1% to Rs 1,545.65 after vehicle sales rose 32% to 3,70,816 units in October from a year ago.

Borosil Glass Works Ltd. declined 3.3% to Rs 709.95 after the scientific, industrial, and lighting glass maker said interim dividend of Rs 25 per share for the year ending March 2011.

Century Enka Limited decreased 2.9% to Rs 235.10 after the synthetic yarn maker reported second quarter net profit plunged 55.3% to Rs 14.63 crore.

DLF Limited plunged 3.5% to Rs 348.15 after the Reserve Bank of India tightened provisioning norms for home loans.

Emami Limited surged 5.4% to Rs 490.95 after the beauty and personal care product maker reported second quarter consolidated net profit gained 45.29% to Rs 53.35 crore.

Eveready Industries India Limited tumbled 5.6% to Rs 62.95 after the dry cell batteries maker said second quarter net profit declined 22.7% to Rs 13.55 crore.

Goldiam International Limited increased 2.5% to Rs 48.65 after the gold jewelry maker secured an export order worth $6 million.

GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare Limited gained 1% to Rs 2,215.00 after the food processing industry said third quarter net profit rose 30.91% to Rs 78.57 crore.

IndusInd Bank slipped 3% to Rs 276.65 on profit booking after the stock spurted 8.04% to Rs 285.45 on November 1.

Jaihind Projects Limited slumped 6.1% to Rs 228.80 after the engineering construction company said second quarter net profit fell 22.86% to Rs 4.69 crore.

Nitco Limited soared 5% to Rs 66.20 after the ceramic tiles maker reported second quarter net profit of Rs 6.77 crore compared to net loss of Rs 8.26 crore from a year ago.

Orbit Corporation Limited declined 1.9% to Rs 116.00 after the real estate developer said second quarter consolidated net profit slumped 35.7% to Rs 16.03 crore.

PVR Limited gained 3% to Rs 174.10 after the movie theater chain reported second quarter consolidated net profit rose 39.3% to Rs 8.97 crore.

Pratibha Industries Limited rose 0.3% to Rs 78.20 after the infrastructure developer secured contract of Rs 37.4 crore from Godavari Marathwada Irrigation Development Corporation, Aurangabad.

Punj Lloyd Ltd. increased 1.5% to Rs 124.40 after the engineering construction company strong order backlog overshadowed weak second quarter results.
