India Movers: Bajaj Auto, D B Corp, Finolex, Hindustan Unilever

    Stocks in Mumbai traded higher tracking gains in Asian markets. Bajaj Auto Ltd rose after the company was added to the benchmark index Sensex 30 index. D B Corp second quarter net gained 25.1%. Finolex Cables Ltd declined after quarterly net plunged 34%.

[R]5:20 PM Mumbai – Stocks in Mumbai traded higher tracking gains in Asian markets. Bajaj Auto Ltd rose after the company was added to the benchmark index Sensex 30 index. D B Corp second quarter net gained 25.1%. Finolex Cables Ltd declined after quarterly net plunged 34%.[/R]

The BSE Sensex gained 0.71% or 143.54 to close at 20,309.40. The CNX Nifty on the National Stock Exchange rose 39.75 to close at 6,105.80.

Amara Raja Batteries Limited plunged 5.4% to Rs 198.25 after the acid storage batteries maker said second quarter net profit slumped 34.02% to Rs 31.60 crore.

Bajaj Auto Ltd. rose 0.3% to Rs 1,491.10 after the Bombay Stock Exchange said that the company will be added to the BSE Sensex index replacing ACC.

BGR Energy Systems Limited increased 1.3% to Rs 780.90 after the construction company received a Rs 2,168-crore order from Thermal Powertech Corporation for supercritical thermal power project.

Bank of India decreased 3.2% to Rs 519.05 on lower than expected earnings and a downgrade from a foreign broker.

Confidence Petroleum India Limited surged 4.7% to Rs 21.90 after the LPG cylinder maker said second quarter consolidated net profit gained 124.41% to Rs 17.01 crore.

D B Corp Limited increased 3.8% to Rs 287.70 after the newspaper publisher said second quarter consolidated net profit rose 25.1% to Rs 55.07 crore

Emco Ltd. plunged 6.7% to Rs 63.60 after the power transmitter reported second quarter net loss of Rs 28.60 crore for compared to net profit of Rs 107.87 crore from a year ago.

Finolex Cables Limited slumped 4% to Rs 61.70 after the cable maker reported net profit declined 34.2% to Rs 18.93 crore.

Hindustan Unilever Limited gained 1.3% to Rs 305.65 after the consumer goods company said second quarter net profit soared 32.11% to Rs 566.12 crore.

Jayant Agro-Organics Ltd. increased 4.8% to Rs 153.00 after the oil, derivatives and power generation firm reported second quarter net profit gained 114.6% to Rs 5.30 crore.

KSB Pumps Limited declined 3.4% to Rs 506.50 after the pump and industrial valve maker reported third quarter net profit fell 33.8% to Rs 11.96 crore.

K Sera Sera Productions Limited soared 7.3% to Rs 14.00 after the film production and distribution said second quarter consolidated net profit rose 6.22% to Rs 42.18 crore.

Man Infraconstruction Limited soared 4.3% to Rs 375.95 after the construction company won orders worth Rs 383 crore.

Morarjee Textiles Limited surged 4.1% to Rs 29.05 after the textile maker reported second quarter consolidated net profit of Rs 2.77 crore compared to net loss of Rs 1.57 crore from a year ago.

Mangalam Cement Ltd decreased 3.3% to Rs 151.80 after the cement maker said second quarter net profit tumbled 97.6% to Rs 0.86 crore.

Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services Limited soared 7.2% to Rs 701.75 after the non-banking finance company said second quarter consolidated net profit rose 71.9% to Rs 123.19 crore.

Piramal Healthcare Limited decreased 3.8% to Rs 495.30 after the pharmaceutical company''s board proposed a buyback of 20% of its outstanding shares at Rs 600 each.

Rolta India Limited gained 2.3% to Rs 168.55 after the technical software provider said first quarter consolidated net profit rose 8.2% to Rs 74.77 crore.

Simbhaoli Sugars Limited surged 6.1% to Rs 45.25 after the sugar refinery and power generator approved raising funds by issuing shares and warrants on preferential basis.

Steel Strips Wheels Limited gained 2.1% to Rs 410.10 after the board of directors will consider and approve issue of equity shares to a strategic investor.

Sobha Developers Limited rose 0.9% to Rs 374.10 after the real estate developer reported second quarter net profit surged 114.2% to Rs 58.90 crore.

Uflex Limited soared 4.7% to Rs 318.25 after the plastic and metalized film maker said second quarter net profit surged 328.36% to Rs 79.29 crore.

Wipro Limited plunged 4% to Rs 430.30 after the information technology and services provider was downgraded by a foreign broker and lowered its price target to Rs 475 from Rs 489.
