Ambuja Cements Ltd declined after quarterly net declined 52% and Binnani Cement Ltd second profit plunged 98%. Bajaj Corp Limited declined 4% after latest quarterly net declined 19%. TCS said quarterly net increased 14%.

The BSE Sensex fell 0.47% or 94.72 to close at 20,165.86. The CNX Nifty on the National Stock Exchange declined 35.45 to close at 6,066.05.

Gainers & Losers

AVT Natural Products Ltd surged 19.9% to Rs 112.60 after the solvent extraction company reported second quarter net profit surged 641.86% to Rs 3.19 crore.

Ambuja Cements Ltd declined 2.1% to Rs 139.05 after the cement maker said third quarter net profit plunged 52.2% to Rs 152 crore.

Binani Cement Limited rose 0.05% to Rs 92.20 after the cement and clinker maker reported second quarter net profit tumbled 98.83% to Rs 1.18 crore.

Biocon Limited rose 0.2% to Rs 444.60 after the biopharmaceutical company said second quarter consolidated net profit rose 20% to Rs 89 crore.

Bajaj Corp Limited plunged 4.2% to Rs 680.05 after the light hair oil producer said net profit dropped 18.9% to Rs 15.11 crore.

DIC India Limited plunged 3.7% to Rs 302.40 after the printing ink maker said third quarter net profit dropped 24.4% to Rs 5.75 crore.

FAG Bearings India Ltd. rose 1% to Rs 875.50 after the ball/roller bearings maker said third quarter net profit soared 90.08% to Rs 31.44 crore.

Fulford (India) Limited soared 9.8% to Rs 1,093.50 after the pharmaceutical company third quarter net profit spurted 82.32% to Rs 7.22 crore.

Himadri Chemicals & Industries Limited increased 3% to Rs 488.45 after the carbon and chemicals industry fixed November 9 as the record date for a 10-for-1 stock split.

Indian Bank rose 0.5% to Rs 302.80 after the banking company said second quarter net profit rose 11.77% to Rs 415.77 crore

Kavveri Telecom Products Limited gained 3.1% to Rs 151.50 after the radio frequency product maker tied up with Valcom Manufacturing group of Canada for providing the high technology products to the Indian defence industry.

Novartis India Limited increased 2.8% to Rs 665.20 after the pharmaceutical company reported net profit rose 21.9% to Rs 40.56 crore.

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited gained 1.1% to Rs 106.90 and the power transmission company board approved the offering document for a proposed follow-on public offer.

Suryajyoti Spinning Mills Limited increased 1.8% to Rs 48.10 after the yarn maker said net profit surged 877.2% to Rs 5.57 crore.

Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers Limited soared 4.8% to Rs 148.50 after the printing and writing paper maker reported second quarter net profit surged 79.10% to Rs 53.12 crore.

Tata Consultancy Services Limited surged 5.7% to Rs 1,040.10 after the information technology company said quarterly consolidated net profit according to the U.S. GAAP standard rose 14.22% to Rs 2,106.50 crore.
