Brunswick Corporation led gainers in the S&P 500 index with a rise of 16.3% followed by gains in Citrix Systems, Inc. of 14.9%, in Itron, Inc. of 10.9% and in Ameriprise Financial, Inc. of 9.9% and in Teradyne, Inc. of 9.8%.
