Best Buy Co., Inc. led the decliners in the S&P 500 index with a loss of 5.2% followed by losses in Nucor Corporation of 2.5% and in Polo Ralph Lauren Corporation of 2.0%, in Regions Financial Corporation of 0.9% and in AK Steel Holding Corporation of 0.7%.
First Solar, Inc. led gainers in the S&P 500 index with a rise of 3.2% followed by gains in JDS Uniphase Corporation of 2.8%, in Johnson Controls, Inc. of 2.7% and in Rowan Companies, Inc. of 2.7%.

Alliance One International, Inc. ((AOI)) added 2.6% or 10 cents to $3.95 after the leaf tobacco merchant said full year sales rose 2% to $2.31 billion from $2.26 billion a year ago. Net income in the full year fell 40.3% to $79.2 million or 78 cents per diluted share compared to net income of $132.6 million or $1.49 per share a year ago.
Amkor Technology, Inc. ((AMKR)) gained 4.8% or 31 cents to $6.66 after the provider of packaging and tests for semiconductors was upgraded to “buy” from “hold” at Deutsche Bank AG.
Best Buy Co., Inc. ((BBY)) fell 5.6% or $2.29 to $38.80. The retailer of consumer electronics reported first quarter revenues rose 7% to $10.8 billion from $10.1 billion a year ago. Net income in the quarter rose 1.3% to $155 million or 36 cents per diluted share compared to net income of $153 million or 36 cents per share a year ago.
Capstone Turbine Corporation ((CPST)) dropped 6.0% or 7 cents to $1.08. The microturbine technology solutions services provider said full year revenues rose 40% to $61.6 million from $44.0 million a year ago. Net loss in the full year was $67.2 million or 34 cents per diluted share compared to net loss of $41.7 million or 25 cents per share a year ago.
Casey’s General Stores, Inc. ((CASY)) rose 1.5% or 57 cents to $36.50 after the convenience store operator reported fourth quarter revenues rose 33.6% to $1.18 billion from $883.4 million a year ago. Net income in the quarter rose 40.3% to $21.9 million or 43 cents per diluted share compared to net income of $15.6 million or 31 cents per share a year ago.
Callaway Golf Company ((ELY)) surged 9.7% or 72 cents to $6.87. The maker of Big Bertha golf clubs was downgraded to “market perform” from “outperform” at JMP Securities LLC.
CNB Financial Corporation ((CCNE)) rose 1.3% or 15 cents to $10.80 after the bank today announced the pricing of an underwritten public offering of 2.9 million shares of its common stock at a price of $10.25 per share for gross proceeds of approximately $30.0 million.
Dean Foods Company ((DF)), the dairy processor added 1.5% or 16 cents to $10.85.
ePlus inc. ((PLUS)) rose 0.7% or 13 cents to $18.03 after the provider of technology solutions said fourth quarter revenues rose 34.4% to $180.4 million from $134.2 million a year ago. Net income in the quarter rose 364% to $3.5 million or 42 cents per diluted share compared to net income of $754,000 or 10 cents per share a year ago.
FelCor Lodging Trust Incorporated ((FCH)) fell 7.0% or 45 cents to $5.98 after the real-estate investment trust announced that it plans to make a public offering of 25 million shares of its common stock.
FactSet Research Systems Inc. ((FDS)) traded unchanged at $69.08 after the financial research and analytics services provider reported third quarter revenues rose 4% to $160.3 million from $154.4 million a year ago. Net income in the quarter rose 0.3% to $38.7 million or 81 cents per diluted share compared to net income of $38.5 million or 79 cents per share a year ago.
The Hershey Company ((HSY)), the chocolate maker fell 0.2% or 10 cents to $50.78.
Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Inc. ((JAZZ)) increased 7.3% or 59 cents to $8.65 after the drugmaker was upgraded to “overweight” from “equalweight” at Barclays Capital Inc.
Korn/Ferry International ((KFY)) gained 6.6% or 92 cents to $14.85 after the executive-search firm said fourth quarter revenues rose 54.7% to $177.0 million from $114.4 million a year ago. Net income in the quarter was $8.9 million or 19 cents per diluted share compared to net loss of $17.2 million or 40 cents per share a year ago.
La-Z-Boy Incorporated ((LZB)) fell 1.6% or 20 cents to $12.20 after the furniture maker said fourth quarter sales rose 9% to $310.7 million from $284.5 million a year ago. Net income in the quarter rose 163.5% to $13.7 million or 26 cents per diluted share compared to net income of $5.2 million or 10 cents per share a year ago.
Lincare Holdings Inc. ((LNCR)) fell 1.6% or 79 cents to $48.71 after the provider of oxygen services for patients at home was downgraded to “neutral” from “positive” at Susquehanna Financial Group, LLP.
