The rebound of oil prices, more warnings from retailers, and dollar strength in Europe was all that market had to digest. Apparel retailer, Limited delivered yet another quarter of disappointment. JDS Uniphase delayed earnings filing for the quarter.

Despite lower oil price of the day, traders worry that oil will only bounce back in the coming days. Nordstrom and Hewlett Packard delivered strong earnings. ANF drops despite higher earnings.

Ahead of several economic data on inflation, labor market and housing starts this week, market showed little in interest in bidding share prices higher. The tech sector had few winners including Apple, Agilent, Qualcomm, Texas Instruments and Komag. Lowe's confident outlook for the rest of the year may help housing market in the coming days.
