- Pool Corp. eased 0.1% to $344.0 after the swimming pool equipment provider reported lower revenue in the fourth quarter ending in December.
Net sales decreased to $987.49 million from $1.00 billion, net income declined to $37.30 million from $51.44 million, and earnings per diluted share fell to 98 cents from $1.32 a year ago.
For fiscal 2025, the company estimated earnings per share between $11.08 and $11.58, compared to $11.30 per share in 2024, and a gross margin between 29.7% and 30.0%, compared to 29.7% in 2024.
Feb 24, 2025 - Whirlpool declined 4.5% to $112.27 after the company estimated a weaker-than-expected annual outlook.
Revenue in the fourth quarter increased 3.4% to $5.1 billion, net income swung to $491 million from $1.6 billion, and diluted earnings per share were $8.90 compared to a loss of $29.35 a year ago.
The company estimated 2024 revenue of $16.9 billion and diluted earnings per share between $8.50 and $10.50.
Jan 30, 2024 - Pool Corporation declined 2.3% to $329.03 after the pool supplies company reported mixed quarterly results.
Revenue in the third quarter declined 9% to $1.5 billion from $1.6 billion and net income fell 27% to $137.8 million from $190 million and diluted earnings per share fell to $3.51 from $4.78 a year ago.
The pool supplies wholesaler guided its annual earnings per share in the range between $13.15 and $13.65, compared to pre-pandemic $6.14 per share in 2019.
Oct 19, 2023 - Pool Corporation declined 0.3% to $365.20 after the pool products retailer reported a decline in sales.
Revenue in the second quarter declined 10% to $1.9 billion from $2.1 billion and net income fell 24% to $232.3 million from $307.3 million and diluted earnings per share dropped to $1.10 from $1.0 a year ago.
Net sales decreased 10% in the second quarter of 2023 to $1.9 billion compared to $2.1 billion in the second quarter of 2022 following 15% net sales growth in the second quarter of 2022 and 40% growth in the second quarter of 2021, resulting in a compound annual growth rate of 13% from 2019 to 2023.
The company lowered its annual earnings per share outlook to a new range between $13.14 and $14.14 from the previous estimate between $14.62 to $16.12.
Jul 20, 2023 - Pool Corporation said net sales in the first quarter declined 15% to $1.2 billion from $1.4 billion in the first quarter of 2022 following a 33% rise in the period in 2022 and 57% jump in the quarter in 2021.
Because of unusually cold and wet weather in Western U.S., including Arizona and California where base business plunged 21%.
Net income declined 43% to $101.7 million from $179.3 million and diluted earnings per share fell to $2.58 from $4.41 a year ago.
The company updated the annual earnings guidance range to $14.62 to $16.12 per diluted share from the previous estimated range between $16.03 and $17.03.
On February 24, Pool Corp hiked its quarterly dividend to $1.0 a share from 80 cents a year ago payable on March 29 to stockholders of record on March 15.
