Oct 28, 2024 - Boeing Co. increased 3.3% to $174.60 after the aviation company reported a narrower-than-expected loss and a smaller-than-expected cash outflow in the first quarter.
Revenue in the first quarter declined 8% to $16.5 billion, net loss shrank to $355 million from $425 million, and diluted loss per share eased to 56 cents from 69 cents a year ago.
Apr 24, 2024 - Boeing Company increased 0.8% to $183.76 after the aviation company and defense contractor said quarterly losses shrank and the company said it expects to deliver fewer-than-anticipated 737 Max planes this year.
Revenue in the third quarter increased 11% to $18.1 billion from $16 billion, net loss shrank to $1.6 billion from $3.3 billion, and diluted loss per share eased to $2.70 from $5.49 a year ago.
Third quarter results were negatively impacted by defense performance and lower 737 deliveries.
In the quarter, the plane maker delivered 105 planes, 6% fewer than 112 delivered in the period a year ago.
The company confirmed a backlog of $469 billion, including over 5,001 commercial airplanes.
During the quarter, the company booked 398 net orders, including 150 737 MAX 10 airplanes for Ryanair, 50 787 airplanes for United Airlines, and 39 787 airplanes for Saudi Arabian Airlines.
Oct 25, 2023 - Boeing Company declined 3.5% to $220.43 after the company said fastener holes on after pressure bulkheads were improperly drilled on some versions of 737 Max jets, this will further delay deliveries of these planes.
Spirit AeroSystems Holdings Inc plunged 15% to $19.45 after Boeing highlighted manufacturing defects on the fuselage made by the company.
Aug 24, 2023 - Boeing Company increased 4.9% to $224.75 after the aircraft maker reported better-than-expected second quarter earnings and aircraft deliveries rose
Revenue increased 18% to $19.7 billion and the company swung to a let loss of $149 million from $193 million and diluted earnings per share was ($0.25) from 32 cents a year ago.
Aircraft deliveries increased to 136 from 121 in the quarter a year ago and aircraft backlog at the end of the quarter was 4,800 worth $440 billion.
The company reaffirmed operating cash flow guidance between $4.5 and $6.5 billion and free cash flow estimate between $3.0 and $5.0 billion.
